By working with you from design to production, US Grant is able to provide custom and unique manufacturing solutions, often avoiding costly design changes when moving through development stages. Below are a few of our innovative solutions.
Z-Chassis Enclosure
The Z-Chassis enclosure shares it’s symmetrical design with the Yin-Yang symbol, allowing a complete enclosure to be produced from a single tool. The unique design also allows for ease of access to interior components during assembly and servicing. Fitted with a custom cross shaped gasket and US Grant’s Ultra-Rugged Board Mounting system, the Z Chassis Enclosure is ideal for high shock and vibration environments.
Ultra-Rugged Board Mounting System
This unique board mounting system utilizes one-piece stainless-steel stanchions captured between the top and bottom of the enclosure. Boards are separated by stainless steel spacers, eliminating the potential failure point presented by traditional threaded standoffs. This unique and rugged design is ideal for high shock and vibration environments.
SIM/Dual SIM Reader IP67 Connector
Adding to US Grants family of rugged outdoor IP67 connectors, the SIM and Dual-SIM connectors were created in response to a customer’s needs. These unique connectors allow SIM access to interior components, without the risk of exposing electronics to the elements. Available in SIM/Micro-SIM/and Dual-SIM formats with custom made assemblies, these connectors highlight US Grant’s ability to provide our clients with new, unique, and custom solutions.
Two Shot Plastic Injection Molded Undercut
For a plastic part requiring a deep undercut that exceeded traditional injection molding parameters, US Grant employed an innovative two-shot/post-machine process. This allowed us to achieve the undercut, while maintaining the uniform wall thickness critical for preventing warping and porosity.
Extruded and Curved Two-Piece Cable Guide Assembly
Timing was critical when a new product launch was delayed by a customer’s inability to solve a manufacturing problem with their cable guide design. Working with our Chinese manufacturing partners US Grant developed an innovative aluminum u-channel hot forming process and delivered a working solution in just 4 ½ weeks.
Single U-Bolt Antenna Mounting System
Simple and effective, this innovative mounting system featured on US Grant developed antennas utilizes a single u-bolt gripping a custom groove on the antenna bezzle. This versatile system is used in high vibration and shock environments to provide a rugged and dependable mounting solution.
